Request a License

A PCAPAI license is tied to one machine. Send us that machine's ID and we will email the license file back.

1 Find your machine ID

It is already in PCAPAI. You do not need to look it up or work it out.

  1. Open PCAPAI Desktop. Any capture, or none — it does not matter.
  2. Click the tier badge in the bottom-right corner of the window. It is a small rounded badge at the far right of the status bar, along the very bottom edge. It reads Free, Standard or Pro depending on what you have now. Clicking it opens the PCAPAI License window.
  3. Copy the value on the This machine: row. There is a Copy button at the end of that row. Use it — a mistyped machine ID produces a license that will not activate.
It looks like this MID-0123456789abcdef MID- followed by exactly 16 hex characters (0–9, a–f).
Cannot see a badge in the bottom-right?

The same badge is in the About window, and clicking it there does the same thing: Help › About PCAPAI on Windows and Linux, or PCAPAI › About PCAPAI on macOS. If PCAPAI is showing a license warning banner, its Details button opens the same window.
